Software Downloads

All of the software found here is currently in beta. You will likely encounter bugs. If you do please report them to us, so that we can fix them. The upside to the software being beta is that you can have a real influence on how it functions. If you think of a feature you would like to see or wish a button worked differently, let us know and we will change it.

Windows Installer

This is the Windows installer which will install the Makesmith Ground Control program on your computer. It is a standard installation wizard which gives you things like the option to add a shortcut on the desktop and a nice icon. The latest version is version .59 which can be downloaded here. Instructions to guide you through the windows installer can be found here. A guide to the functions of the software can be found here. Windows (No Install)

This is a no install version of the software for Windows. It comes as a zip folder which contains a file GroundControl.exe which, when run, will launch the Makesmith Ground Control program. The other files in the folder are the necessary libraries to make the program run. You might want to use the no install version if you are using a computer on which you cannot install software or if you don't want to install software. The latest version is version .59 which can be downloaded here. Instructions on how to launch the program can be found here. A guide to the functions of the software can be found here. Firmware

This is the firmware for the CNC router which runs on the Arduino board. It comes as a zip file which contains a file cnc_ctrl_v1.ino which you must upload to the router using the Arduino program (if this seems confusing, look for the instructions bellow). The firmware on the router need not change with the operating system of the computer it's connected to. The latest version is version .59 which can be downloaded here. Instructions on how to upload the firmware to your router can be found here.
